I remember when i got this bear. i was 7. We went to see my late great uncle and he had two teddy bears (this one and a brown one) for me and my sister. I'm the oldest so i got first pick. I picked this one. I was drawn to the fact that its blue.
Now the name Kirby comes from the nintendo/hal character Kirby. i know that kirby is pink but when he has the ice ability,he's blue and as a child that was my favorite hence the name of the bear.
This was my favorite thing to sleep with when I got it and up until age 15 when I got a bear from my at the time boyfriend.
Kirby now spends his days in my mom's room protecting her instead,I sleep with either a pig my mom got me or a yoshi doll i bought in new york.
